Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood ( DSA )

Robin Hood Airport, the UK’s newest purpose built international Airport, is built on the site of a former Royal Air Force airbase, RAF Finningley which closed in 1996. In June 1999 Peel Holdings purchased the site with the view to turning it into a commercial airport serving 2.3m passengers and 62,000 tonnes of freight yearly. Robin Hood Airport commenced commercial operation on 28 April 2005

Over 40 destinations can be reached from Robin Hood Airport. In early 2007, operators began offering long-haul flights to Canada, Pakistan, Florida and Mexico.

Robin Hood Airport is situated in the heart of the Yorkshire and Humber region and close to the major cities of Sheffield, Leeds, Hull, York and Lincoln. Nearby are the towns of Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Worksop, Bawtry and Gainsborough. Robin Hood Airport is easily accessible from the UK’s major motorways including the M62, M1, A1 and the M18.rt
